Today, Norm Goldman, editor of Bookpleasures.com is delighted to have you as our guest, Jeff Maziarek author of Spirituality Simplified.

Good morning and thanks to Jeff, you agree to participate in our interview.

Norm:

Jeff, please tell our readers a bit 'of your personal and professional history.

Jeff: I have the pleasure of speaking with you Norm.I was born and raised in the western suburbs of Chicago, I lived in this area for most of my nearly 50 years. I graduated from a local college and completed at the School of improvement from DePaul University in Chicago. A few months after I got my MBA, I am from Texas Instruments in Houston, as a planner of entry of products for computer printer, which can be rented as a huge advantage for my career because I was able to become a part was the personal computer industryif it was in its infancy.

After a few more stops at other technology companies, where I was Marketing Management positions in the company, I set up a partnership with a friend, a startup company, the computer QUICKLY Received much attention from the press the PC, but miserably due to lack funds failed. After this setback, I went on the horse again with a new high-tech startups, but the company in due course, not as good, and if this occurred, I decided to go on my ownStart a marketing consulting firm. The company has developed over time in a high-tech company in writing, which continues to this day has become.

The two companies into bankruptcy caused a major turning point in my life because it occurred after I had the choice for my life, the circumstances for the search to these disappointments, or myself, for reasons to blame . This is what ultimately led me to very interested in examining the personal growth and spiritual, and from thisThe interest in my book finally developed.

Norm:

Do you agree with the statement that the writers do not write to impart knowledge to others, but they write to inform. If so, how is this for your book?

Jeff: Yes, I agree for the most part. As I write, my main purpose Spirituality Simplified began to crystallize my philosophy of life, and I had no "plans" to publish a book. When I finished about fiveChapter, but the thought crossed my mind that this work could be the value for others, and it was at this point I decided to actually develop your work in a commercial product.

Norm:

How did you define the principles in your book to help you in your daily life and your business?

Jeff: There is no doubt that the principles I have is the cover of the book of great value to me personally and professionally. For example, awareness ofPrinciple of cause and effect has dramatic consequences that since I assumed full responsibility for everything that happens to me, no longer in the paralysis of guilt or other circumstances for what has happened had gotten stuck with me.

Also, having, by applying the principle to practice present moment awareness, I point where I almost never think about the past, with an attitude of "Get what, if I could choose and I can not see thatGuilt. I also made much progress in leaving behind the need to know "what will do my best to happen every day, to my mind in the funds paid for the" now "because it is our view that in the final birth today future.

The principle of non-attachment has also been of great value to me because I learned with practice, less than a "Make It Happen person and more than a" let it happen "person. This does not mean that I do not feel frustrated at times whenThings are not happening as fast as I like it because sometimes I do indeed. The difference is that they remain in this place feeling for a long time because I experience an excessive desire for something That tends to push away reality, we know what we want. The reason is that we are more about what we have "concentrated" what we want, and why we thought the following form submitted over and over "want" and not "how."

Norm:

Why you forced me to writeBook and how you got the inspiration for this book?

Jeff: Like I said before, when I started writing this book was the idea of publishing is not really a big concern for me. It 'was really the thoughts on paper for my education. to start in relation to the original inspiration behind the project, as I have been the introduction of the book the person who made me sit down with the 'idea and start writing a book Actually it was a woman named Kaye O'Bara. She and herEdward's daughter, who fell into a diabetic coma in 1971 were the subject of a book by Wayne Dyer in 1996, says "A promise is a promise."

This book describes the story as Kaye, 24 x 7 maintenance for Edward had since that fateful day, and the unconditional love that Kaye was (and still said) for them. In any case, I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know Kaye in the late 1990s, and a visit to her in February 1999, we spent a wholeIn the afternoon talking about all kinds of topics, including several books on spiritual growth that I had read. When he saw that I had a great passion for the topic, she looked me straight in the eye and said, "You should write your own book, honey, because you certainly share a lot of people." I initially rejected the idea, but the more I thought I felt like something to do what I do. So when I came home from her visit to Miami, I started to write, but I justknowing that it would take, almost five full years for me to do it!

Norm:

What are your hopes for your book? Can you talk more about their mission and what you hope readers take away in terms of improving their lifestyle.

Jeff: Maybe it's a case of semantic standards, but the reality is that I had "hopes" for the book. For me, the word hope in "Desire" is based, and if you long for something we accidentally put energy into thinking and feeling remain in a state ofLonging. For this reason we continue to focus on what we have. So rather than "hope" I have an "intention" for the book, that is, That you have finally found its way into the hands of many readers who can really benefit from this, and I remain confident that it is .

As for my mission in writing the book, especially my intention was to create a book of spiritual growth, which was the starting point for anyone interested to take a path wouldspiritual self-discovery. The inclusion of nearly 80 points from 40 different books, of which many classical works in the category, serves as a wonderful road map for similar content, but also serves as a reference book Practical for those who have done this for a while.

What I would like readers to take the road from this work, above all, I would have liked the recognition that the application of spiritual principles may in fact help them to manifest the life they really comeDesire, but who are willing to challenge literally know each of their long-standing beliefs in the process of arrival, they really are. The path of self-discovery requires commitment and effort but the rewards are worth it.

Norm:

Can you explain some of your research techniques, and how you found sources for your book? Also, please tell us how easy or difficult it is to this material in your thoughts were intertwined.

Jeff: How do Imentioned above, this book contains original material by a sufficiently large number of pounds. My approach was very simple, with nearly 200 books that I read the question, look what I found as "the best of the best" passages, I thought I had read almost a decade, how it works.

Once the bodies were collected, I against important issues that I wanted to meet (on a scale that is, the chapter title) and then wove them together with my ownExperiences on the path of spiritual growth. This process of "weaving" was actually a challenge compared to the previous one, I wanted to do was to simply create a book of quotations from other authors of the work. At the end I was happy with the result, but as I said, if I project that I never thought it would as long as he held until the end began.

Norm:

What challenges or obstacles encountered while writing the book? How have these challenges?

Jeff:There are many challenges during the project, including some battles with the "Writer's Block, and some conflicts with my work as a writer other techniques that often led me to cover the cost of the book for weeks at a time. I came across some problems with production, served to further delay the effort.

To address these challenges, always pass the "Writer's Block" has always been a case of simple stress releasing self-imposed "need"to do so. In any case, the lock was finally broken after I put some quiet time and requested information on the matter. While the timing conflicts with my other work, I just had that it was sometimes necessary to accept to concentrate at work because that is the job that was paying the bills. Finally, the various aspects of production are a combination of patience, I met with intense determination needed. Bottom line, I had come so far and have not had before,Finally I feel the same for the draft today.

Norm:

Are you going to write other books and this is the first and last?

Jeff on: After the intense effort to write and produce the first book found at first thought that one is enough, but I changed my opinion of the Committee over the last year or so. As fate would have it, the motivation again put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) came from a source that I would certainly never electeddeliberately - a diagnosis of inoperable liver cancer twelve years in my beloved Border Collie, Codi.

This new book is currently about four chapters ago, and is essentially a personal reflection on our experience, after receiving the devastating news to health Codi early April 2004, and nearly twelve months that transpired before his death. The primary objective of this work is to share what I think, very important that the lessons taught spiritual Codime during these last years of his life. The efforts of writing was an emotional catharsis like this before, and I expect that will continue in the balance of the book.

Norm:

As potential readers, skeptical about some of the ideas that we may respond to your book?

Jeff: I would say that they have every right to be as skeptical as they wish. My mission here is not to proselytize anyone, just to share information that I found to be thegreat value to me personally. If they enjoy great if not, then it works.

As I said in the book, the Buddha himself has warned his teachings blindly embrace When he says: "Monks and scholars should not accept my words of respect, but must analyze how a jeweler gold analysis by cutting , flattening, friction to melt. "In my experience, that is the way of their philosophy of spiritual development would benefit by applying a similarApproach.

Norm:

There's something else to add, that are not covered?

Jeff: Yes, I would once again an old mantra, that is, That the entire process for spiritual growth is not really about somewhere in the vicinity, But enjoy and appreciate every step along the path of self-discovery.

Norm:

Thanks again and good luck with spirituality simplified.

Jeff: Thanks, Norm, for your time and to share thisThoughts with you and visitors Bookpleasures.com.
